The Pretty Soldiers of Deviantart

So since my return to deviantART, I have started watching all the episodes of Sailor Moon again. I don't know why but every fall I get into a SM kick, this year is probably the worst since 2006 when i was crazily obsessed in middle school Anyway, I decided since I'm practicing chibis, I might as well draw a little something for my friends/idols and I came up with this
Each of these members in their own way, contributes support and kindness to make deviantART a better place, kinda like the scouts ne?
I tried as best as I could to pay attention to the little details of each OC as well as their respective scouts details. I tried my best to color them based on outfits they wear, or colors that suit them

Shazura as Sailor Venus Weirdly, I didnt start with Shazu, nor did I particularly enjoy drawing her, which was super strange for this piece cause you would think my own OC would be a cakewalk, but she did take the longest. I chose for her to represent Sailor Venus for many reasons. First, obviously, her hairstyle is identical. Next she has been around the longest doing solo work, and I figure since I have had an account the longest but have not been super active, it worked out. Since she is the final member of the inner senshi to join the group, i figured this would be appropriate. My friends in high school always said I was the Sailor Venus of our group, which besides being boy crazy, i was very different (athletic-- yeah right ). But the love chain was always my favorite senshi attack, so I'll accept! I kept the design similar to her uniform, but i felt her outfit mirrored Chibi-Usa's original fuku -___-; oh well

Andromeda as Sailor Mercury Andromeda is only Sailor Mercury cause she can rock those boots and has a similar hairstyle (although I wish I included her new pink ombre hair cause its so epic ) I feel like if Andromeda had powers they would be more like Sailor Jupiters, (CANT YOU SEE HER SHOOTING LIGHTNING!?) I also feel like she would have Jupiter's badass personality. But I feel like her closeness with *TokiBuni makes the representation appropriate. *emi-chuu has always been so supportive of all members of deviantart, she always gave me such kind, constructive comments in the past, which really helped me keep going. And she has that effect on so many members on deviantart. Her eye for detail in her work makes me want to drool. I have also wanted to draw Andromeda for her as a gift and never had time, so now I finally have one I actually completed her first !

Kasumi as Sailor Moon There is not a doubt that *TokiBuni is the leader of the kindness/support movement on deviantart. Her sweet comments are enough to make any artist melt and have their day made, but she also knows when to report an offender, and won't be afraid to do so. She supports her friends and so many new artists on the site despite her busy life. I feel like it is Toki that has brought this whole group together. Her beautiful artwork is so inspiring as well, I feel like everyone who looks at her work can't help but smile. I wanted to originally draw Kasumi in her blue and white school uniform, but she needed pink so i went with her favorite party dress Kasumi and Usagi are so alike, between their love for pink and sweets and bunnies, and their adorable personalities. I barely had to change her hairstyle, and still kept her iconic clips. I considered both Luna and Yuuna for representing Toki as Sailor Moon, but since Kasumi is her main mascot, and because she is so fun to draw, I chose to draw her.Toki is an inspiration to so many, and this is a simple thank you.

Kushii as Sailor Mars but for real. Kushii is so sassy, like she'd totally shoot fire, and be epic and shit. *Kuroii-Kushii was one of my earliest supporters when I first began digital art. I honestly never knew how she could positively influence so many people on this site in such a small amount of time. It simply amazes me. Shes just so sweet! Even though she has so many adoring fans and followers, she is so sweet and approachable and unintimidating. Its so rare, and i love that about her so much. It amazes me how much she has improved in her short time on deviantart. Her chibis are in such beautiful proportion, and inspire me beyond belief. I have always wanted to draw her OC Kushii, and Im so glad I finally got to. Thank you for everything Chloe!

Umi as Sailor Jupiter I feel like the bond between Mars and Jupiter is strong, and so is the bond between Kushii and Umi, so I felt that this crossover was appropriate. I really had fun drawing Umi, because as I have stated many times before. *Kimmymanga is an idol to us all, and is so sweet and so chill about it. Her kindness and support, as well as her gorgeous artwork are such an inspiration. How she completes some projects so quickly, with such amazing quality is the part that amazes me the most. I just want to hug everything she draws! Obviously due to Umi's water genasi heritage, and shy and sweet personality, she is more like Sailor Mercury (don't be fooled, Ami has some fucking hilarious sassy comments), but her hair and bond with Kushii makes Umi the perfect match appearance wise for Mako-chan ^^
